I posted a non-fiction account of an experience I had a few years ago. I don't normally dabble in non-fiction, but this time I needed to document my time on a short lived reality TV show called No Opportunity Wasted.
I wrote the story when I returned home from filming. It was my experience on the show that gave me the drive to pursue writing in the first place. I guess it makes sense I share this story first!
The story takes you through the day I found out about the show and applied for it, all the way to my return home after filming. In all, it was quite the adventure!

That show should have lasted much longer then it did. However, it had higher ideals then most reality television programs. It refused to pander.
ReplyDeleteIt had two big failings. 1 it was only half an hour and there was not enough time to do everything the show intended to. And second it was on CBC - so very few people watched it.
