I write horror. I write as dark and as disgusting as humanly possible. In the past, when I have been asked why I never really had an answer. It's something I've done since I was a child. Looking back I think the answer is simple. It's a coping mechanism. My readers enjoy the thrill and the excitement of the worlds I create and destroy. For me it helps to clear the junk out of my head.

I had not heard that. It's nice. I like the soundtrack to "Casualties of War," and "28 Days Later" especially the song "In a Heartbeat." As to art, check out Damien Loeb. He has done a series from horror movies and when you look at the works, you think they look familiar. One is from rooms in The Shining, including room 237. I love photo-realists, so his stuff really appeals to me. When you look at his work you swear it's a place you've been in your past, but then it hits you...it's a movie.
